The Fund for The Water Works (FFWW) is committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors. Through our website we generally receive two types of information: personal information you provide voluntarily if you are making a donation, and aggregate information about the visitors to our website.  When an individual makes a donation through our website, FFWW collects personally identifying data, such as names, addresses, email addresses and payment information. This data is maintained by FFWW to ensure a record of the donation.   We additionally collect aggregate information about visitor traffic on our website, which helps us to improve our website to make it more useful to our visitors.

We may request personal information when you make a donation to FFWW. This personal information may include your name, email address, phone number, street address and payment information, and will be retained to ensure record of the donation for tax and other business purposes.  We only retain personal information that you submit voluntarily through our website.

Aggregate Information

Because of the way internet computer servers work, we receive certain types of information about general activity on our website. This does not include personal information; it includes data including the number of times website is visited, which of our website pages are visited most often, the domain names of website visitors (e.g., “aol.com”) and the date and time of each website visit. We compile this information into an aggregate summary for statistical analysis and reporting for the purpose of building a better website.

Security

FFWW utilizes the vendor-supported security tool, Donor Perfect, to provide secure transactions of donations.  Donor Perfect’s privacy policy is located at SofterWare, Inc. & Donor Perfect’s Privacy Policy.

Your Choice and Right to Opt-Out

You have the choice to no longer receive emails from FFWW.  Send us a request at info@fundforthewaterworks.org if you wish to be removed from our email mailing lists.
